Manufacturing Industry Performance Records Positive Growth, Ministry of Industry Showcases Flagship Program Achievements During the First Year of the Prabowo-Gibran Administration
Marking one year of the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the Ministry of Industry reaffirms its commitment to supporting the implementation of the President's Asta Cita programs and vision to realize national economic independence through the accelerated transformation of a competitive and sustainable national industrial sector.
As a manifestation of its achievements and to showcase the Ministry of Industry's tangible contributions in strengthening the national industrial structure and enhancing industrial competitiveness, the Ministry of Industry held the Showcase Exhibition of Flagship Programs for One Year of the Prabowo-Gibran Administration with the theme “One Year of Industrialization, Indonesia's Economy Grows Resiliently”.
The event, held from November 5-9, 2025, at Gandaria City Mall, South Jakarta, serves as a momentum to display the achievements and innovations made by the Ministry of Industry over the past year. Through this exhibition, the Ministry of Industry reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the national industrial ecosystem. This aligns with the vision “Together for an Advanced Indonesia Towards Golden Indonesia 2045” and the President's Asta Cita mission.
The Minister of Industry explained that this exhibition was held in a public space to reach a wider general public and to demonstrate that everyday manufactured products are tangible results of national industrial production. “Not only as everyday products, but national industrial production is capable of creating high added value and making significant contributions to realizing economic equity towards an advanced, independent, and prosperous Indonesia,” stated Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in his remarks at the opening of the Showcase Exhibition of Flagship Programs for One Year of the Prabowo-Gibran Administration in Jakarta recently.
The exhibition features over 50 industrial players fostered by the Ministry of Industry, showcasing various innovative programs and products, as well as digitalization technology. Industrial innovations will be displayed across several thematic zones, namely:
- Food and Beverage Industry Zone – showcasing innovative products based on sustainable raw materials to support food security.
- Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry Zone – displaying high-tech, competitive, and high-demand products.
- Textile Industry and Ecosystem Zone – illustrating Indonesia's Textile and Textile Product Industry, integrated from upstream to downstream.
- Medical Devices Industry Zone – showcasing local medical device products that have penetrated export markets.
- Industrial Downstreaming Zone – presenting competitive innovative products resulting from resource-based industrial downstreaming.
- Public Services Zone – offering on-site direct services for industrial players and the public.
- Industrial Technology Innovation Zone – showcasing manufacturing technology and digitalization.
- Industrial Incentives Zone – providing information related to strategic programs and incentives from the Ministry of Industry.
In addition to the thematic zones, the exhibition also features other areas, including an interactive area for visitors to experience industrial technology, innovation, and sustainability firsthand. Furthermore, a performance area showcases the performance of the non-oil and gas processing industry and the Ministry of Industry's flagship programs.
The Minister of Industry is optimistic that this momentum signifies Indonesia's readiness to enter an inclusive, competitive, and sustainable industrial future. “This exhibition is a tangible manifestation of cross-sectoral synergy among the government, business actors, and the industrial community, in our efforts to build a robust and sustainable economic structure,” added the Minister of Industry.
Growth of the Industrial Sector
Over the past year, the Ministry of Industry has recorded a significant increase in the growth of Indonesia's manufacturing sector. From Q4 2024 to Q2 2025, the Non-Oil and Gas Processing Industry (IPNM) sector recorded a growth of 4.94 percent (yoy). This growth continued into Q3 2025, with the IPNM sector again posting positive performance, growing by 5.58 percent (yoy), higher than the national economic growth of 5.04 percent (yoy).
“The achievements attained by the IPNM sector reflect that the manufacturing industry remains expansive and maintains its strategic role as the backbone of the national economy,” added the Minister of Industry.
The manufacturing sector also contributed significantly to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP), reaching 17.39 percent in Q3 2025. This achievement makes the IPNM sector the largest contributor to the national GDP compared to other sectors.
Furthermore, during the period of October 2024 – June 2025, investment realization in the manufacturing industry reached IDR 568.4 trillion, or 40.72 percent of the total national investment. This aligns with the positive performance of the industrial sector, reflected in a significant increase in Indonesia's manufacturing value added. According to data from the World Bank and United Nations Statistics, Indonesia's Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) in 2024 reached USD 265.07 billion.
The growth of the IPNM sector demonstrates the government's commitment to preparing various strategic steps to encourage industrialization across various sub-sectors and strengthen the national industrial structure, such as policy reforms for Increasing the Use of Domestic Products (P3DN) and Domestic Content Level (TKDN), strengthening the national halal industry ecosystem, Industry 4.0 digital transformation, technological innovation, energy policies and modernization of production equipment, Carbon Capture Utilization (CCU) incentives, and Labor-Intensive Industry Credit (KIPK).
“The achievements attained by the national industrial sector are inseparable from the direction and focus of President Prabowo's leadership towards national industrial development based on downstreaming and digitalization. We are optimistic that the domestic industrial sector will continue to record its achievements through collaboration among stakeholders,” concluded the Minister of Industry.
